Dr. William Sikora
Dr. William Sikora has been practicing dentistry in North Olmsted for more than 20 years. He opened his practice across the street from the current location in 1990, soon after graduating from the Dental School at The Ohio State University.
The practice has grown from three employees to 10 and so has Dr. Bill’s community involvement. He has been a volunteer youth basketball coach in the area. And he and his wife, Dr. Christine Sikora, volunteer every other year for week-long dental mission trips to Honduras.
Dr. Bill grew up on a dairy farm near the small eastern Ohio town of Maynard. He played college baseball at John Carroll University, where he majored in biology and chemistry, before going on to The Ohio State College of Dentistry. It was his own experience in a dental chair as a child that led to his career choice.
“I had a really bad toothache when I was I kid. The dentist treated it and I was out of pain. I was amazed that he could that,” Dr. Bill says. “I thought it would be really cool if I could help people out of their dental misery.”
Dr. Bill focuses on providing complete dental care in a friendly atmosphere, utilizing the latest techniques to make the patients as comfortable as possible. The office moved in 2004 to its larger, current location with the most modern equipment. Each dental chair even has cable TV and headphones for the comfort of patients.
His hobbies include staying active in sports, getting to as many Ohio State football games as possible — he describes himself as a “huge Ohio State fan” — and visiting his 160-acre orchard farm in eastern Ohio when time permits.
He and his wife, Dr. Chris, live in Westlake.

Dr. Christine Sikora
Dr. Christine Sikora is a 1991 graduate of The Ohio State University College of Dentistry, but her passion for treating teeth dates back further and has its roots in the fine dental care she received as a child.
Growing up in a small southeastern Ohio town near Gallipolis, she first went to Shawnee State in Portsmouth, Ohio, where she received a degree as a dental hygienist. She worked as a dental hygienist in Richmond, Ky., before heading back to school to pursue a dental degree.
“I received regular dental care as a child and wore braces for years. I always looked forward to my dental visits and had a positive experience,” Dr. Chris says in explaining what led to her career. “I think it is so rewarding to help people get out of pain and to help people cosmetically.”
She purchased a practice in the Dayton, Ohio, area and worked there for 10 years before becoming part of the Sikora Family Dentistry team in North Olmsted.
“I married my best friend and we really enjoy practicing together,” Dr. Chris says of her husband, Dr. William Sikora.
They live in Westlake with their labrador retriever, Sandy, and a kitty, Josie. The Sikoras are avid Ohio State football fans, often attending games. They even own a life-size Brutus the Buckeye bobblehead, among other OSU memorabilia.
The Sikoras enjoy running (they’ve completed two marathons together), biking, hiking and spending time in the country. Dr. Chris’ goal in retirement is to breed labrador retrievers. Professionally, she’s focused on completing her work at the Midwest Implant Institute in Columbus so she can offer her patients a cutting edge and natural choice for replacing missing teeth.
Her interest in this work goes back to why she pursued the dental profession: caring for patients the way she was cared for as a child.
